Summary
Act as the company representative on construction job sites. The Field Supervisor will supervise and coordinate field installers with their daily activities on various construction project sites. This includes, but is not limited to, installation of low voltage wiring (copper & fiber), and associated devices for access control, IP cameras, audio video, networking, and automation. Track labor needs, material needs, construction schedules, and work closely with project managers and/or other managers to ensure jobs are completed with good quality and on schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Generate daily logs.

· Input, review, and approve the crew's timesheets.

· Manage material and equipment inventory.

· Attend weekly construction project meetings and share notes/highlights with management.

· Coordinate and supervise employee, subcontractors, and miscellaneous manpower requirements.

· Ensure all system and structured cabling testing is completed and results are provided.

· Generate a weekly progress schedule.

· Verify installations are completed to drawings/specifications/SOPs.

· Identify project changes that impact cost, schedule or man loading requirements. Bring to the immediate attention of the Project Manager all changes, discrepancies and coordination problems that impair installation activities or schedule.

· Writing, editing, and revising training manuals for new and updated software and hardware in coordination with the main office.

· Recommended procedure modifications or improvements with written justification.

· May conduct interviews for the project specific labor as required.

· Occasional field work may be required during busy times, or for urgent project deadlines.

· Maintain a safe work environment.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Qualifications

1. A reliable vehicle to travel to construction jobsites and material warehouses.

2. A high school diploma or equivalent.

3. 3+ years of practical experience in a superintendent role.

4. Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in:

a. Managing people,

b. Microsoft Applications: Outlook, Excel, Word,

c. Interpreting plans and specifications,

d. Low voltage wiring: copper and fiber,

e. Access control systems,

f. IP camera systems,

g. Audio video systems.

5. Basic knowledge of:

a. Automation or IoT

b. Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools.

6. Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.

7. Willingness to work occasional after-hours/weekend shifts.

8. Willingness to travel up to 25% as necessary.

9. Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with problems.

10. Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.

11. Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.

Physical Requirements

1. Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

2. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.

3. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

4. Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures, weather, and periods of darkness, as well as conditions such as mud, snow, ice, and direct sunlight.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
