Purpose and Scope:

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to provide Computer Network Support/Help desk for our Business clients.

This position is responsible for focusing on customers' needs to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, Install and configure workstations, Ethernet network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems.
  • Supports Network and System Vulnerability Assessment and Remediation, Backups and Disaster Recovery.
  • Maintain up-to-date equipment and software inventories, and up-to-date network drawings.
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct system malfunctions.
  • Assist in developing Network Operations Policies, Standards and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Networking and Active Directory.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Understanding of various Desktop Management Systems such as anti-virus software, patch management and software delivery.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate the status of various systems to management and/or support personnel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, etc.) and standard desktop applications.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or similar education in computer technology
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • CompTIA N+ Certification
  • Strong PC hardware/software background

Recommended:

  • Experience providing remote desktop assistance
  • Network experience

Working conditions:

This position will begin as full time, schedule to be determined and assigned as needed, between on-site work and remote (at home) support. Additional hours may be given, with approval. This position may require employees to be on-call (available for remote assistance) at certain times, and may require weekend coverage. The Computer Network Support Technician is required to have reliable transportation available for the use of traveling to client locations.

Physical requirements:

Job requires both extended periods of sitting and extended periods of standing, depending on the situation. May be required to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.

Experience:

  • Helpdesk or Tech support: 2 years (Required)
  • $14.00 – $20.00 per hour (DOE)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • United States (Required)
  • Must possess or be able to maintain a government Secret Security clearance
  • Must possess a valid state Driver’s License

Work Location:

  • Main Office & Remotely
